Securing a lesson spot

Recurring

The easiest way to secure a recurring weekly or biweekly lesson spot is to purchase a lesson package.

Individual

If you wish to purchase lessons individually, please be sure to send payments at least 24 hours before your lesson time, otherwise, your lesson will be considered forfeited and may be filled by someone else.

Cancellation by Student

Cancellation by Student

Notify at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time

This includes illness, family emergency, other plans etc.

Missed Lessons

Missed lessons will be charged in full without prior notification by the student or parent within 24 hours of the student’s lesson time, no exceptions.

Missed Intro Lesson

If you miss your intro lesson for whatever reason, you can reschedule once free of charge. After the first reschedule, if you miss again, you must purchase another intro lesson slot ($30).

Late Arrival

If a student is late, the lesson will last the remainder of the student’s scheduled time.

The lesson will be considered forfeited if the student does not show up or notify of connection issues after the first 15 minutes of their lesson starting

Incomplete Packages

If for whatever reason you need to pause lessons and have lessons remaining in your package, you have 90 days for weekly lessons or 150 days for biweekly lessons from when your package began to use them, or they will be considered forfeited and you will lose those lesson credits.

Rescheduling

If a student is unable to attend their lesson but would like to reschedule, they must do so within the same week at least 24 hours prior to the lesson occurring.

For instance, if a student is unable to attend a Tuesday lesson, they can attend a lesson on Wednesday or Thursday at no additional cost. If a student is unable to attend a Thursday lesson, they may attend a lesson on a Monday or Tuesday at no additional cost.

If a student has weekly or biweekly lessons and is unable to reschedule within the same week, the lesson is considered forfeited.

Cancellation by Teacher

I will notify at least 3 hours before the scheduled lesson time

The lesson will be rescheduled or the lesson credit will roll toward the next lesson, whichever is applicable.

Payment

Lessons can be purchased individually or in packages. Payments can be made via Venmo, CashApp, Paypal, or Apple Cash. Please reach out to Isabella if any of these do not work.

Lessons will be charged prior to the lesson occurring. If payment is not received at least 24 hours prior to the anticipated lesson time, the lesson will be canceled.

Three consecutive no-shows or late cancellations without a reschedule will result in the removal from my schedule, which may result in losing your secured lesson time.

Scheduling/Lesson Times

Lesson Duration

Lessons are operated on a therapy-style schedule. This allows me and the student to take time to reflect on the lesson as well as prepare for the following student as I often have back-to-back students.

30 minute lessons = 25-27 contact minutes, 3-5 minutes for notes

45 minute lessons = 40-42 contact minutes, 3-5 minutes for notes

60 minute lessons = 55-57 contact minutes, 3-5 minutes for notes

Lesson duration will be determined based on students’ needs addressed in the intro lesson. If cost becomes a factor, we can discuss a work around such as operating on an every-other-week schedule or a shorter time with more frequency.

Materials

Music is constantly changing, giving us more variety each day, which is why it is important for students of voice to cover several genres/areas of study throughout their music careers.

Students have the option to use or not use sheet music. If students do choose to use sheet music, they are responsible in finding their own copies if it does not exist in my current library. If students do not wish to use sheet music, they are responsible in creating their own lyric sheets where they may write notes.

Students may choose to read off their computer, iPad, or print off and place in a binder. However, any version you can use to write notes on is required.

If a student would like to bring their own music to work on, it is their responsibility to provide a copy to me via email in a PDF format if sheet music is being used.

Student-Teacher Confidentiality Agreement

I consider my studio a safe place for my students, which is why it’s important for me to have student-teacher confidentiality so that they feel safe to discuss whatever they need. Oftentimes, I find that students will tell me things they often won’t tell others, because singing is a very vulnerable act, and this can cause students to feel very emotional.

Expectations

Voice lessons are an essential part of creating a well-balanced and healthy voice, however, may take a while before any noticeable changes occur. Some students are gifted with a well-balanced natural voice and others may have problems that cause progress to occur at a much slower rate. As a result, some students will progress faster than others, and that is normal.

Medical Release Clause

By scheduling a lesson with Isabella Ferrari,  you understand that the instructor or the studio are not responsible for any unhealthy voice or body use which may lead to the need of medical attention. The student is solely responsible and liable for any injury or potential harm that may occur.

Liability Release Clause

By scheduling a lesson with Isabella Ferrari, you understand that the instructor cannot and will not force the student to take the time to practice. They can only encourage the student to do as so. It is solely up to the student to take what they learn and apply it to their normal routine, to take time to practice, and to make the most out of their own sessions.
